Young Loki: Do the Frost Giants still live?
Young Thor: When I’m king, I’ll hunt the monsters down and slay them all! Just as you did, father.
Did little Loki and little Thor actually have that exchange in the movie? And then Loki uses the same word, ‘monster,’ to describe himself. If so, that is so sad.
The ‘He’s adopted’ line always struck me as false. It doesn’t play well: Thor can be silly about it; Loki was devastated. Not Joss Whedon’s finest moment, IMO.
